Gladwin County Democratic Party Monthly Meetings

The 4th Tuesday of every month except December.

Beginning on 6/24/2025, we will be meeting at the Gladwin County District Library, 402 James Robertson Drive, second floor in the Large Meeting Room. The time will remain the same 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

MI2CD Friends:

The Democratic parties in the 20 counties of the MI2CD continued making good trouble during the month of September. We are doing a good job showing voters that there are Democrats in rural Michigan and that we care about them and their challenges to making a living and raising a family. Here are just a few pictures of the rallies, meetings, and protests across our part of rural Michigan:

MAGA Moolenaar has moved beyond gaslighting his constituents. He is now flat-out LYING about the shameful shutdown of the federal government! He proves that point by posting ridiculous things shown below to get us to believe that the Democratic minority in both the House and Senate are responsible for this lack of ability or desire to do the hard work of governing for the greater good of all the people, not just those who contribute to his campaign fund!

Moolenaar is using his “bully pulpit” as the incumbent to continue his campaign for re-election in 2026. He is obviously getting nervous about the rising tide of dissatisfaction being expressed by voters in the MI2CD. They want to know what he is doing to help drive down the cost of living. A pound of ground beef now costs more than the hourly minimum wage ($7.25). Vegetable and fruit prices have risen more than 35% since January 2025. Gas at the pump is still more than $3.00/gallon. Our electrical and natural gas utility prices are rising because his MAGA leader demands that high cost/high polluting coal generating plants remain open while he is selling our natural gas overseas driving prices up to operate gas fired plants.
